Bio

I began my teaching career in Japan, where I worked with students of all ages and skill levels: children, teens, college students, and business people. I also taught Business English for companies such as Naniwa Bank and Copal Electronics.

Based in Los Angeles, I've taught Business English at University of the West and a wide variety of English courses at American English College: pronunciation, public speaking, reading, writing, TOEFL preparation, and more.

Since early 2020, I've been teaching classes online and expanding my private lessons. I'm excited to have students zoom in from countries around the world. It's a global classroom!

Life is not about filling in blanks in a textbook. I like to create a space where students are encouraged to practice language skills, make mistakes, and learn from them. It's rewarding to see students have fun while learning practical, useful language skills.
